Children are meant to learn through play. When children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity flourishes. Snapology engages children using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and technology. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and iPads, we sneak in the educational concepts!
Snapology's mission is to provide children an opportunity to engage in "playful learning" activities that will stimulate their creativity and spark an interest in learning.
Week #1: Developing Engineers (Mechanical Masterminds) and Movie Making – Superheroes
AM Session: Developing Engineers (Mechanical Masterminds)
This program introduces students to mechanical engineering concepts through hands-on building activities. Using guided challenges, participants explore simple machines, gears, and mechanical systems while developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills in a structured learning environment.
PM Session: Movie Making - Superheroes
In this program, students create their own superhero-themed movies using LEGO® bricks to design characters, settings, and action scenes. Participants develop storytelling, creativity, and problem-solving skills while bringing their imaginative superhero adventures to life.
Week #2: Amusement Park Engineering and Movie Making – Jedi Master
AM Session: Amusement Park Engineering
This program lets students explore the engineering behind amusement park rides through hands-on building with LEGO® bricks. Participants design, build, and test roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and other attractions while learning about forces, motion, and simple machines in a fun, interactive environment.
PM Session: Movie Making - Jedi Masters
In this program, students create their own Jedi-inspired movies using LEGO® bricks to design characters, scenes, and action sequences. Participants explore storytelling, planning, and creativity while bringing their imaginative adventures to life through hands-on movie-making activities.
